How I find vintage rugs for reasonable prices

There's just something about a vintage rug, right? They are truly some of my favorite decor pieces in my home.

Here are my best tips for finding these rugs at reasonable prices:

- Etsy sellers - Etsy will incentivize sellers to run sales so be sure you are favoriting these items and searching for them regularly. The algorithm will put these items to the top of your home page and search if you are consistent in looking for that perfect rug. Don't be afraid to look deep into the search, too... I'm talking page 9 or 10 where smaller sellers are less seen and eagerly waiting for a sale!

- Instagram sellers - I have come across deals on multiple rug sellers pages. Just like Etsy, stay in tune with the pages content so you won't miss when they run their sales.

- Other fun places to find these beautiful rugs if you are equipped with some patience and a love for searching: estate sales (pro tip: the last day of the sales things are usually marked more than half off) and vintage/antique markets (even in Round Top, TX, I recently found a smaller seller who was selling high quality, medium sized rugs for under $200).

I bought the below rug for $45 on Esty. I usually see these sizes for over $100.
